Thai Film Festival and Multi-media Video Workshop at CCU

The Arts and Culture Centre, National Chung Cheng University, is delighted to
have invited Dr. Chakrapipat Asswaboonyalert, the art director for several
international acclaimed Thai movies, to be the Artist-in- Residence from May to June.
We would like to invite you to pick up your video recording devices, to shoot your
scenes, and to create your unique media productions.

Apart from art directorship in the film industry, Dr. Chakrapipat
Asswaboonyalert lectures on 2D animation, video for new media, storyboarding, and
set design at King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi. He has involved in
numerous movie productions, such as Meteor, The Beside Detective, The Magnificent
Five, etc.. Currently, he devotes himself to professional video productions and
education of young talents. From 25 th May to 27 th May, Dr. Asswaboonyalert will lead
a workshop on New Media Production at our university. The workshop will provide
lectures on key video making skills, e.g. storyboarding, scene shooting, and video
editing. There will be also a lecture on the most updated development of Thai movie
industry on the 4 th of June, 2018.

Along with the international Artist-in- Residence program, CCU Arts Culture
Center has coordinated a Thai Film Festival between10 th May and 30 th May at the Da-
Mao Theatre and the Leather Light Hills. Films selected include: The Billionaire,
Crazy little thing called love, Best of Times and Pop Aye. These are great movies
which show love, passion, and inspiring ideas of Thai culture. Plus, we are going to
host the first outdoor movie show in CCU at the Leather Light Hills on the 30 th May.
Let’s enjoy the Thai movies in the cool breeze on pleasant summer nights!
